Today during the morning I had my account compromised. They have logged in, cleared most of my stuff, even the items I wore, transfered all my gold, mats and created some "khkjhrkjekrht" chars on other realms as well. I have notified Blizzard Support on this matter and they say they are going to look at this. If you happen to see me online please pm me just to be sure that it is I who has logged in and not some retard hacker. I strongly advise to demote me until all this parody comes to an end just for the case of someone hijacking the guild bank as well although I don't think my rank is eligible for that kind of action.

This makes you wanna bump you head (or someone else's head) into the nearest wall. I really hope that Blizzard (and not some bot administrator wishing "good luck to your adventures in Azeroth") settles this matter pretty damn soon. Since I can remember one more person from our guild who had his account comprimised about 2 months ago, I can't help but wonder how safe our accounts are after all...

Herathia I am very sorry for what happened to you and your post made me worry a lot! Did you do anything what would directly compromise your account? like sharing it with someone? or visiting possible harmfull websites and stuff? I know from a friend of mine that there is a malware out there that once you visit a site (or more, I don t know), it "installs" a dematrix program that actually sees, copies and sends your password to the possible hacker. I d reccomend to fortify your pc with the latest virus definitions of your antivirus and to use a strong firewall and anti-spyware program.

To conclude, I really wish for you to retake your account and your chracaters at their prime and most of all I hope that Blizz doesn t follow it's standard compromisation procedure....

Actually, it seems that my laptop was infected by a trojan which read the memory allocated by wow.exe in order to find the password. I'm still running some scans, it seems though that my main pc is clean. The real awkward thing is that the hacker left my 62 lock in one piece while sodomizing my 51lvl warrior... weird stuff
Anyway Blizzard support was very helpful and to my surprise I got all my gear, enchants, money back in a couple of hours via in-game mail attachments! Now that's a good way to get some epics!
